FERA CEO Pauline Durand-Vialle, was a panelist at S&D Group’s Marlene MIZZI MEP Conference at the European Parliament on 3 June 2015 “Does European Cinema have a future: What next for low audiovisual capacity countries’ indigenous film production?”

After an Opening speech by Günther H. OETTINGER, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, the first panel had Damian DRĂGHICI MEP (Committee on Culture and Education), Annemie DEGRYSE (CEO Lunanime, Vice President of Benelux distribution Lumière), Engelbert GRECH (Malta Film Commissioner) and FERA CEO discuss “The importance of a plural European Film Industry in shaping a dynamic European cultural identity”.


The second panel “Are independent European film productions indigenous to low audiovisual capacity countries an endangered species?” featured Silvia COSTA (MEP & Chairperson of CULT Committee), Matteo ZACCHETTI (DG CONNECT-Unit “MEDIA Support Programmes”, European Commission), Martina PETROVIC (Head of Office, Creative Europe Desk– MEDIA Office, Croatia), Rebecca CREMONA, (Maltese Filmmaker) as speakers.
