On 23 November FERA wrote to the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture expressing its extreme concern for proposed 57% cut to the Film Fund. The Bulgarian Filmmakers Union has recently informed us that the state support to the national film industry was increased in the state budget for 2010 from
€4,250,000 to € 5,000,000. This sum is much less than what is written in the Film Industry Act but in such situation of financial crisis this minor increase is a success for the Bulgarian and European Film Industry.
