French SRF elects New President and Board
The French Society of Film Directors held the annual General Assembly on 12 June and elected the Presidents and the new Executive Committee for the year 2010/2011.
The three new SRF Co-Presidents are Fabrice Genestal, Chantal Richard and Christophe Ruggia.

The Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers elected New President
On 21 May, the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers (UBFM) has elected Gueorgui Stoyanov as its new President.

Swedish Directors re-united within Teaterförbundet
The two FERA Member organisations from Sweden, Swedish Directors and Film Directors of Sweden, have re-united their forces under the United in Film Directors of Sweden.
March Swedish Directors’ vote was unanimously in favour to the re-unification and it will have to be confirmed by majority to a second meeting in autumn.

Riga Film Fund launched
On March 5, Riga City Council has announced the Riga Film Fund, a co-financing initiative aiming to encourage foreign investments in the Latvian capital. German Directors Guild General Assembly
At the last Berlinale, the German Directors Guild BVR celebrated its 35th anniversary. More than 600 guests (including FERA CEO Elisabeth O. Sjaastad) attended the anniversary party during which a new German director prize was announced.

The French Film Directors’ Society supports Jafar Panahi
